Then and Now

Swipe left to right to see what has changed over the years.
For this section of the Discover Ruthin web site, we are looking for old photographs of the town and surrounding areas to publish along side photographs from the present day such as in this example of the view of the old Railway Station looking down Market Street.

Swipe the bar from left to right to be transported back in time!

If you have any you would like to contribute, please let us know via the “Contact” page, or call in at the Studio on Market Street.  You can have the photographs back after we have scanned them and as a thank-you, we’ll give you a restored copy.  Alternatively, you can email the images in digital form.

    Wrong side of the road?

Not altogether sure what you mean, Jean/Robert,but as near as is possible, given the advances in lens design since the original was taken, the 2013 photo was taken from the very same spot and using the same focal length lens, as the original.

Lovely to see that those fabulous gate posts have survived!
